31. “VICTORIOSOS POR LA ETERNIDAD” (XII. TRIUNFANTES EN EL ESPÍRITU).

Porque aún un poquito, y el que ha de venir vendrá, y no tardará.  Mas el justo vivirá por fe; y si retrocediera, no agradará a mi alma. (Hebreos 10: 37, 38).

Compañeros de peregrinación, estamos todavía entre las sombras y la agitación de las actividades terrenales; pero pronto aparecerá nuestro Salvador para traer liberación y descanso. Contemplemos por la fe el bienaventurado más allá, tal como lo describió la mano de Dios.

El que murió por los pecados de mundo está abriendo de par en par las puertas de Paraíso a todos los que creen en él. Pronto habrá terminado la batalla y se habrá ganado la victoria. Pronto veremos a aquel en quien se cifran nuestras esperanzas de vida eterna. En su presencia las pruebas y los sufrimientos de esta vida resultarán insignificantes. De lo que existió antes "no habrá memoria, ni más vendrá al pensamiento" (Isa. 65:17). "No perdáis pues vuestra confianza, que tiene grande remuneración de galardón: porque la paciencia os es necesaria; para que, habiendo hecho la voluntad de Dios, obtengáis la promesa. Porque aún un poquito, y el que ha de venir vendrá, y no tardará" (Heb. 10:35-37).

Alcemos los ojos y dejemos que nuestra fe aumente de continuo.  Dejemos que esta fe nos guíe a lo largo de la senda estrecha que ha de llevamos por las puertas de la ciudad al gran más allá, al amplio e ilimitado futuro de gloria que espera a los redimidos. "Pues, hermanos, tened paciencia hasta la venida de Señor. Mirad cómo el labrador espera el precioso fruto de la tierra, aguardando con paciencia, hasta que reciba la lluvia temprana y tardía. Tened también vosotros paciencia: confirmad vuestros corazones. porque la venida del Señor se acerca" (Sant. 5:7, 8).

Las naciones de los salvos no conocerán otra ley que la del cielo.  Todos constituirán una familia feliz y unida, ataviada con las vestiduras de alabanza y agradecimiento. Al presenciar la escena, las estrellas de la mañana cantarán juntas, y los hijos de los hombres aclamarán de gozo, mientras Dios y Cristo se unirán para proclamar: No habrá más pecado ni muerte.- Profetas y reyes, pp. 540, 541. RP/EGW/MHP
